Naomi is one of seven educators across the state of Alaska to win this award. In addition to running the Native Youth Olympics program for AISD, Naomi is an incredible wealth of knowledge of Tsimshian history, culture, traditions, foods, and medicines, and passes this knowledge onto her Ts'msyen Studies students.

Attention AISD Community:
Today the school became aware of an incident that took place in the community on Thursday evening that was off campus and not during a school activity. It was reported that a conflict took place between a group of juveniles and a handgun was pulled out. It is our understanding that the police have responded to the incident and the school followed up with a report when we became aware of it. At no time was there a risk to students or staff during school hours.
Congratulations to Evelyn Booth, for winning the Most Nominations for the Golden Apple Award of Excellence for the 2022-2023 School Year! 🍎
Evelyn was nominated a total of SIX times for her continued display of excellence in working to ensure students with disabilities have the opportunity for an inclusive education with their peers as part of the general education curriculum and school community. Congratulations, Evelyn!
