Our CLMS & MHS Cross Country teams are hosting a Community Run next week! We invite any community members to come and run with our students, or help cheer them on!
👟 When: Wednesday, September 16th
👟 Time: 4:00 pm
👟 Where: Start at CLMS, run to graveyard flagpole and back to CLMS.
RJES Runners:
RJES Students will start their “Fun Run” with the main group, and then run around the District Campus!
RJES Families, please meet at the William Duncan Church at 4:00 pm.
*Please note: Pre-K students must have an adult with them.*

Hello to the Miss Chiefs Volleyball team of the 2026 season and Families,
Volleyball season is upon us, and I’m so excited to say I, Marissa Yliniemi, will get the great honor of coaching our Miss Chiefs this season, alongside our very own Elizabeth Eaton.
If you have yet to meet me, I am currently a teacher at our very own Richard Johnson Elementary School, and have been teaching here since 2021. I, myself, was a former Miss Chiefs volleyball player and am very excited to get back into the program and coach a great group of girls!
To help get ready for the season, please have the following:
a physical completed at the clinic
Knee pads (black)
Black spandex shorts
No mark gym shoes
Please let me know if you need support gathering any of these items.
Before the season starts, we will have a parent meeting on September 7th, @ 7PM in the High School commons. Then our season will begin Sept 9th. We’ll also have some Team Building Activities on Saturday September 12th.
I am looking forward to working with the Miss Chiefs to build a strong team of Student Athletes! Wayi Wah!
