Last weekend the DDF team traveled to Ketchikan for the third meet of the season! The team performed well, with two of our students placing in their individual events. The team also had the honor of joining the Git Leeksa Aks dance group at Ketchikan High School on Friday morning.
Evyn V. placed 3rd in Dramatic Interpretation. The judges also selected Evyn to perform this piece as a Command Performance during closing ceremonies on Saturday night.
Lacey M. placed 5th in Humorous Interpretation.
The DDF team travels to Juneau next month for the fourth meet of the season on December 14th and 15th. Wayi Wah!

This week, MHS student Shannon M. traveled to Anchorage with Music Director Amanda Schoolland for the All-State Music Festival! This is an audition-based choir and band with students from all across the state.

On October 18th and 19th, the MHS Drama, Debate & Forensics team traveled to Skagway to compete in the 2nd regional meet of the 2024-2025 season. We had two students final in their events:
Lacey M. finaled in Humorous Interpretation (HI) and came in 3rd Place.
Gabrielle S. finaled in Extemporaneous Speaking (EXT) and came in 5th Place. She is the first student in the history of our school to final in this event!
The next regional meet is in Ketchikan on November 15th and 16th!
