TONIGHT starting at 6:00 is our Artist Showcase at Metlakatla High School!
We will be featuring pieces created by both students and staff of our Native Arts, Creative Woods, and Welding Classes. Some of the pieces will be for sale as a fundraising effort for our CTE Programs.
We will also have performances by our MHS Band and Choir, our CLMS Band & Choir, as well as some solos and ensembles!

Friday April 21st was a Wild Day for the Juniors and Seniors!
We would like to thank Trident Seafoods Russell Miller, Bill Jensen, and Stephanie Anderson for making the trek to Metlakatla to share an incredible opportunity in skills trades with Trident. We appreciate the efforts in building up our students and community!
Tongass Federal Credit Union also put on the Game of Life! Students chose their career and it came with a salary and different family dynamics that they had to navigate. Thank you Gracia O'Connell and our Local TFCU for making this happen. We would also like to thank our local volunteers for giving their time to our students!

This Friday 4/28 & Saturday 4/29, MHS will be hosting a self-defense class taught by Jordan Tabb, a Jiu-Jitsu Instructor from Ketchikan, for high school girls and women in the Metlakatla community.
This event is meant to bring awareness to Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
There are two opportunities to take the class:
Friday 4/28 5:00-6:30 pm
Saturday 4/29 10:00-11:30 am
