Our 3rd Graders heard the adaawx (story) of Txaamsm (Raven) and Lagaboola (Raven's brother), and threw paper airplanes to recreate the brother's competition. Thank you to Mr. Nelson for a great lesson and picture! "Long ago Txaamsm and Lagaboola had an argument about where the ooligans should run, and they opted to have a contest to see who would get it. They held a contest where each would throw a spear at a plank with a knot hole in it. The one who would make it through the hole would be the winner and from that day forth the ooligans would only run in their river. Txaamsm represented the Skeena River and Lagaboola represented the Nass River.
