Attention AISD Community:
Today the school became aware of an incident that took place in the community on Thursday evening that was off campus and not during a school activity. It was reported that a conflict took place between a group of juveniles and a handgun was pulled out. It is our understanding that the police have responded to the incident and the school followed up with a report when we became aware of it. At no time was there a risk to students or staff during school hours.

For instance, she has taken every song and warmup we play for 6th grade band and rewritten it in large print, then color coded it to meet her student's needs. A few months ago, we posted a letter from our RJES Space Club looking for donations towards purchasing a telescope. We are happy to announce that we received enough funding to purchase an amazing telescope for our young scientists! We are so excited to be able to use this with our Space Club students, who are in the process of giving the telescope a Sm'algyax name! 🔭

A friendly reminder that the Pre-K (smaller) playground at Richard Johnson Elementary was designed and intended for students ages 5 and under. We want to make sure the equipment remains in good condition, and older children using the playground can cause damage to it.
