How to connect to network drives with a Macintosh

There should be some icons on the desktop for connecting to commonly used network drives.  They should look something like this: Connect icons

If double clicking those icons does not mount the network drive, please let us know.

The other way to connect to network drives is to click on the Go menu in Finder, and then click on "Connect to Server".

This will bring up a dialog box asking which file server to connect to.  Within the district there is one main server you would want to connect to, called "files".  The syntax for the server address field in this case is "smb://files":

You may be asked for a username and password.  If so, enter in your AISD network username and password.  It should then bring up a box that looks like this:

Select the volume (share) you want to mount, and then press OK.  Once the volume is mounted, it should then appear on the desktop:
