1-  Part-time Custodial Position

 

QUALIFICATIONS:          

  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Knowledge of standard equipment, methods and supplies used

in the care of school facilities including, but not limited to

furniture, floors and walls.

  • Ability to follow oral/written instructions.
  • Ability to use common electrical custodial cleaning equipment.

      safely and effectively and to keep this equipment clean.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.

REPORTS TO:           Facilities / Maintenance Director

 

MISSION:              Provide general cleaning services to the district office, cleaning up and conduction safety checks on the playground, covered area and grounds, collecting freight and mail, MUST be able to lift 50#, and other duties as assigned.

 

SALARY:                According to Classified Salary Schedule 4 hours per day [1:00 to 5:00 p.m.]

 

Start Date:           July 5, 2010      (24 contract days)

End Date:             August 5, 2010

Reports to:             Director of Facilities & Maintenance

 

Hours:                   7:00 am to 2:30 pm

Duties:                      

  • Grounds
    • Playground: Garbage pick up, safety checks, wood chips adjustment to fall areas, equipment adjustment & repair, graffiti removal, and garbage can emptying.
    • Drainage:  Storm drains clean out, garbage pick up in ditches and culverts, clean out of catch basins, gutter and down spout cleaning/ repair.
    • Covered Play Area:  Trash pick up, garbage can emptying, sweeping, equipment check, graffiti removal or cover up, ice/ snow removal.
    • Building sidewalks & entryways:  Trash pick up, sweeping, ice & snow removal, bird droppings removal, grate clean out.
    • Student walk paths and common areas:  Trash pick up, garbage can emptying, snow & ice removal, sweeping.
    • Change marquee sign as directed by the district office or by the HS principal’s office.
  • Freight
    • Freight pick up & inspection, delivery, drop off, and paper work submittal.
  • Custodial
    • Daytime custodial duties including:
      • Emergency cleaning as needed
      • Lunch room cleaning duties
      • Bathroom cleaning in all building
  • Maintenance
    • Maintenance helper as needed by maintenance staff upon completion of regular duties or in an emergency.
  • Other Duties as Assigned     
    • Complete other duties as assigned by the district office or by administration.
