ICE funding Compass Training

ICE (Initiative for Community Engagement) will be funding the COMPASS Training for Mentors of young men ages 12-18 here in Metlakatla, on  October 22-24th. Mentors must commit to all three days of training (Saturday is only 1/2 a day).

COMPASS Guide for Men is a resource for adult male mentors who work with young Alaskan men aged 12 to 18. COMPASSpresents mentors with opportunities and activities that are designed to support young men as they explore and identify their values, goals and unique identities.

It is a part of the Association of Alaska School Boards (AASB), whose mission is to advocate for children and youth by assisting school boards in providing quality public education focused on student achievement, through effective local governance.
